MACS held its Annual Legislative Breakfast virtually on January 24. We were delighted to have so many friends from the Maryland General Assembly’s legislative leadership join us, including Budget & Tax Chair Sen. Guy Guzzone, Finance Chair Sen. Melony Griffith, President Pro Tem Sen. Malcolm Augustine, and Health and Human Services subcommittee chair Sen. Cory McCray. They were open, informative and shared new and interesting details with our memers.
We were also pleased to welcome Chair of the Health and Government Operations Committee Del. Joseline Peña-Melnyk, and Chair of the Health and Social Services subcommittee Delegate Kirill Reznik. We rounded out our morning with Secretary of the Department of Disabilities Carol Beatty and Secretary of the Maryland Department of Health Dr. Laura Herrera Scott who shared with us the new Administration’s well wishes and outlook for working together.
